Types of Stone Patching

A Jahn patch is a single component mortar. It is mixed with water and coloration to match the consistency and coloration of the existing stone. This patch can be used with a wide varieties of brick, stone, and slate, making it a very popular option for most applications.

An epoxy inject is solution for more significant problems. It involves grinding open the existing crack wide enough to allow an specialty epoxy mixture to be inserted. This mixture is customized to the size, type, and color of the existing stone. Once the mixture is secured and cured, a stone patch can be placed over the crack to conceal the repair.

Sometimes patching stone isn’t the best option. If a brick or stone is damaged beyond repair and is no longer structurally sound, then a replacement is necessary.
